Sawyer Glacier

The scenery at Sawyer Glacier was spectacular! This is just on of many mountains that were along the side of the ship as we were going into the bay to see the glacier.
Look at the ice floating in the water. We could see more and more ice the closer we got to the glacier. The waterfalls were unbelievable.

Here are just some of the waterfalls that we saw on the way to see the glacier. As you can see the reason why so many people calls Alaska "The Final Frontier", because it is the untouched beauty that God has made.
Larger chunks of ice can be seen the closer we get to the glacier.

Look at how blue the ice is near the glacier.

Here is the North Sawyer Glacier. It looks like there is a cave in the Conner of the ice.
Look at the color of the water and how beautiful the falls are.
Here is the South Sawyer Glacier. Look at the mountains up around the glacier.
A big piece of ice falling into the water. This is how icebergs are formed!
Look close in the right side of the picture and you can see seals on the ice. They were all over the big chunks of ice.
